The Colddddd Feeling of being ICEolated
Hey it's Sierra and Braedyn, and we are writing this time to talk about the feeling of being isolated, which is to be ignored or talked about behind your back. I know that we have dealt with this first hand, and its a horrible feeling to go through this, but tonight we are going to give you some tips on how to tackle the situation. First off, I will tell you my story. In this past school year, there was a lot more drama then in the years before, especially the isolation problem. We had a "clique" at school and we started to isolate one girl and then a couple weeks later we stopped and moved on to a different girl in the group. In the second trimester, the girl getting isolated was me (Sierra). That week when it started, a lot was going through my head, I learned who my true friends were, and who not to really trust. But, the thing that was really eating me up inside, was that they would gossip about me right in front of my face. They thought i couldnt see them doing it, which was kind of dumb because im not stupid. So, since this happens a lot, I will give you some tips on how to deal with it:
- Go to someone you trust (an adult), and ask for their opinion on the problem and to help you.
- Address the person(s), and ask them what happend, and if you did something wrong, how could you fix it.
- Make sure to listen to them and look them in the eye when adressing them.
- Be sincere on everything you say, and dont have any sort of bad attitude.
- If the situation gets worse, and you havent already gone to an adult, get one and tell them to help you.
Boy drama and girl drama is different, so the isolation thing often doesnt happen with boys, but if it does there is some advice for you. Please comment and ask questions beccause Braedyn and I are here for you!
